Cooperative Bus to Station System (CBSS)
Bus stations with automatic doors like sliding doors or telescopic doors must be controlled by the bus on its arrival. Whenever the bus door opens or closes the correlate station’s door has to open and close at the same time.
Deutschtec has developed a new solution for this specific application which inhibits many ongoing problems and gives much opportunities to the user. Mostly the distance of control causes problems like crosstalk between different busses or activation of not correlating doors.
Deutschtec’s solution includes an Ultrasonic (US) and Radio Frequency (RF) communication.
This gives a valid distance between sender and receiver in which only a communication can be established. The communication is bi-directional so that information can be transmitted
from the station to the bus and vice versa. Due of the specific speed of both communication principles the exact distance between both can be chosen. Therefore, only a specific distance allows a communication.
While the communication is established user defined controls can be given to the bus driver or the station door.
It is possible to give the control over the station door to the bus driver. So that the bus driver can open/ close the station door regardless of the bus door.
Both communication ways are used as bidirectional solution, so that both parties can send and receive information.
The additional ultrasonic communication enables two functionalities:
– Because of the varying wavelength of US-communication to the RF-communication and the specific speed the exact Distance between both parties can be measured.
– The ultrasonic communication is encrypted and shares the specific communication parameters that is needed for the RF-communication. In that way, the system inhibit the crosstalk to other communicating couples.
– Unlimited numbers of station doors or bus doors.
– Up to 16 sender / receiver couples can be used at the same time within 5m. Which is the relevant distance of the US-length.
